Melody has possessed a strong work ethic and desire to contribute from the time she was young.  She began working in food services when she was 15 and continued throughout high school developing her skills working with customers, organizing and cleaning kitchens, and preparing food.  She transitioned to the child care industry in 2013 and graduated from Tarleton State University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Child Development and Family Studies.

After working in the child development field for 5 more years, Melody realized she wanted to own her own business but continue to contribute to the wellbeing of families and build on the organizational and cleaning skills she had developed for the last decade.

When the world was reeling from the onset of Covid-19, Melody saw an opportunity to bring solutions and assistance to overwhelmed families by launching her cleaning business.  Mel’s Maids was founded in 2020 and has been growing rapidly since then!

A lover of animals, Melody has 5 cats, 4 goats, 2 dogs, and an opossum that visits her patio!  She absolutely loves saying hi to the furry family members in the houses she cleans, which have ranged from turtles to dogs to cats to rabbits! 

Melody has been with her fiance, James, since 2020 and loves that she has all of his love and support for Mel’s Maids. Melody and James love to travel and see new places, and learn about different cultures. While James loves the mountains, Melody loves the beach! She is looking forward to a life full of travel, animals, and family with James!

Melody has cleaned homes for all types of customers, from rodeo professionals to medical professionals to small business owners, from retirees to new moms. She loves taking the burden of cleaning off her clients’ shoulders and particularly enjoys knowing they will walk in and see and smell a nice clean kitchen!
